Marva Came to
WDBO
from Raleigh, North Carolina, where she was an afternoon news anchor/reporter for about two and a half years. That's where she worked with fellow
WDBO Reporter Bob Hazen.
Before her stop in Raleigh, she was an afternoon news anchor/reporter in Blacksburg, Virginia for two years and also hosted a weekly news/public affairs program.
In her spare time, Marva enjoys reading and watching sports. She's a big fan of the Carolina Tar Heels and the Carolina Panthers. She also enjoys the theatre and music.
Marva earned a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she majored in journalism and political science. She also holds a MFA in creative writing from Antioch University in Los Angeles.
MEET MARVA'S PROFESSIONAL INSTRUCTOR JOSE MARINO:
José started teaching part-time while he was going to school at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, in the early '80's. As he got his degree in Business and Aviation Management, little did he realize that life would be taking him into a full-time management position as the Owner of, eventually, his own
Dance Studio. Here, he adds a little bit of 'spice' to everyone he works with, and he takes great pride in helping the
Marino Students to achieve and even surpass their goals.
