DANCER ALEX DIAZ (MIX 105.1):

Alex Diaz has been in Orlando radio since 1995 when he came up to finish his education at the University of Central Florida. In 2009 his radio career came to screeching halt due to a failing economy and budget cuts. Fast Forward to present day and Your Papi-Chulo is back on his New home, Mix 105.1!

For those of you who have always been told, "You can't, You won't" so on and so forth. You CAN and You WILL if you believe in yourself! It's not just a slogan, Alex is living proof that you can live your dreams if you never give up on them.

When he's not at Mix 105.1. You can find Alex alongside his wife Dawn and pooch Athena da Wundermutt around town. They enjoy the being active outdoors whether it's bike riding thru the trails or playing fetch at the dog park. Alex is the official voice of the Orlando Titans Lacrosse team and is very active in many local charities. He thanks you for the years of support and being so welcoming at his new station.

MEET ALEX'S PROFESSIONAL INSTRUCTOR ANDREA RUSSELL:

Andrea married the Love of her life, Ed Russell in 1987. Together, they owned and operated Dance Studios in the Olrando Area.

After selling their business, Andi continued her career and Ed became a full-time Dad for their son Eric.

Fast forward to 3 years ago when Eric was 15. Ed and Andi "stepped in" to teach when Eric's high school lost their PE teacher. During that course, they saw an amazing transformation in the behavior of the teenagers. The tough guys weren't so tough and intolerance melted as respect for each other grew. The children became a team in the dance room and the classroom. Dancing gave the kids confidence, self-esteem and sense of acheivement. Shortly thereafter, Andi and Ed co-founded Dance For Success and started teaching 5th graders at Title 1 schools.
